QMUL Research & Innovation Award

In early May, Hannah Parry-Wilson (Citizen Science Co-ordinator) and Kate Heppell (Water Quality Lead) were delighted to attend the Queen Mary University of London Research and Innovation Awards, where we had been shortlisted for a ‘Collaborative Research’ award based on our ongoing joint efforts with QMUL staff and students to improve water quality in the River Chess.

We unfortunately didn’t win, but were delighted to be in the final shortlist of entries alongside some exceptional project topics ranging from medicinal, information technologies, cultural heritage and much more.

The photo on the right shows Hannah and Kate, stood with Tom and Jackie of the QMUL Geography Technical team, who have been paramount to our work with the sondes, sediment samplers, student projects and so much more in the Chess.

Thanks to QMUL for both inviting and having us!
